Jamie Donley, the Tottenham Hotspur forward, is poised to receive his first call-up to the Northern Ireland senior squad at just 20 years old. The talented young player, who hails from Antrim, has previously represented both Northern Ireland and England at the youth level, even captaining England's Under-19 team.
Donley will join Michael O'Neill's squad for upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Sweden, showcasing his skills on the international stage. Despite the ongoing process of his international transfer from England to Northern Ireland, Donley is eligible to play in these friendly matches.
Currently on loan at Leyton Orient in League One, Donley has been in impressive form, netting seven goals in 30 appearances. His standout goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup caught the attention of fans, leading to an own goal by the opposition.
Having made his Premier League debut for Spurs in December 2023, Donley has already shown his potential on the big stage. With three more appearances for the club under his belt, he is definitely a player to watch.
