The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle TV series has made its debut on Netflix this Tuesday morning, but an interview with People magazine, across the pond in the US, has already shed light on what viewers can expect.
Here are some of the insights we have gleaned:
- Chinese take-away food is a firm favourite -
With Love, Meghan is an eight-episode series featuring cooking, gardening, and conversations with celebrity pals. Despite the glam, Meghan has revealed that Chinese take-away food is a beloved choice in their Californian residence. "But even with takeout, I make an effort to present it beautifully," shares Meghan. And for those of us feeling inadequate, she reassures that "the series is about doing what you can... and doing it with love."
- Casual dining -
The royal couple also enjoys dining out. Meghan mentions, "We go to a lot of dinners, not just at people's homes or private rooms; we just step into the restaurant... It’s really enjoyable." Additionally, Meghan discloses that Prince Harry and their five-year-old son, Prince Archie, have a penchant for fried eggs. Meghan rises at 6.30am and loves preparing breakfast for her family.
- Look out for Prince Harry -
While the show focuses on Meghan, a glimpse of Prince Harry can be expected towards the series' end. Meghan asserts she sees herself as an entrepreneur rather than an influencer. She's launching a lifestyle product range called As Ever in collaboration with Netflix in addition to her new show.
- Recapturing the spark -
Meghan describes working on the show as reigniting the honeymoon phase. She mentions, "It's almost like a honeymoon period again," observing a sparkle in Harry's eye when he sees her immersed in the creative process. She expresses joy in revisiting her early interests and describes it as "just been fun. This is who I've always been."
- Expect a new podcast -
Despite facing criticism with her previous podcast, Archetypes, Meghan announces a new podcast with Lemonada Media set to launch this spring. She addresses the challenges of continuous public scrutiny and acknowledges the learning curve involved in her ventures.
In conclusion, the series is anticipated to be a departure from their previous show's focus on royal conflicts, offering a more uplifting portrayal of their lives in California. Meghan appreciates the significance of their shared Sussex titles as a family unit. By steve, royals, interview, netflix, lifestyle
